PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Our team was tasked with creating an purely mechanical system capable of transmitting torque from a small motor to accomplish a quantitative goal. We utilized a combination of gears, pulleys, bearings, belt drives, and other transmission components to create a system that rotates each flap mechanism at a precise and consistent RPM.
Dilligent work went into calculating loading, efficiency, and fatigue values of each and every transmission element.
